Solutions For Precision Welded Light Fixtures

As with any type of electrical component, welding for lighting fixtures can be complicated without the right micro welding solutions. Percussion Welder offers an exceptional option to create quality welded light fixtures for any type of application.

Quality Control and Efficiency

Using a percussion welding process, the Percussion Welder system provides controllable, precise, and highly accurate micro welding solutions for the lighting industry. This process allows the operator or an automated system to position the two components with a pre-determined gap. An electrical arc is then sent between the two materials, resulting in a molten end on both parts. The percussion fuses the molten materials to create a durable and complete butt weld.

The Percussion Welder system can weld light fixtures with copper, brass, stainless steel, and other alloys. This method of welding is ideal for precision welding light fixtures because it provides high accuracy and control over the welds. The operator can select the power level of the arc to create a strong but controlled weld.

Percussion Welder technology results in a near-zero resistance joint that can be used on any heater metals. The welds are uniform and with our Percussion Welder Monitor, each weld can be verified as good/no good as part of overall quality control standards.

Welding of Light Fixtures

Ready to use, the lighting welding system includes the 858 Percussion Welder, the model 726 Bench Fixture, and the option to include our Percussion Weld Monitor that evaluates and identifies good/no good welds for exceptional quality control.

The system is ready to use out of the box, and our team at Percussion Welder is here to customize solutions and provide training for your team. We make lighting fixture assembly welding easy with the ability to integrate and automate the Percussion Welder into your process.

The Percussion Welder is the most precise and reliable tool for welding lighting fixtures. The 858 model provides a stable arc, with adjustable parameters to ensure an optimum weld each time. It also eliminates the need for tungsten electrodes, resulting in fewer hazardous waste products.

The 726 Bench Fixture is designed specifically for precise welding of lighting fixtures, ensuring a secure and user-friendly experience. It is a revolutionary new tool designed specifically for precision welding of light fixtures. This fixture provides a secure and easy-to-use solution that can be used in any environment, whether it’s a production line or small shop. With its adjustable clamps, the 726 Bench Fixture allows for precise welding without the need for additional tools.

As a revolutionary system that is a superior option to laser welding for the lighting industry, our Percussion Welder system can weld dissimilar metals for a wide range of uses. For more information, call us today at 303-536-7838 or reach us online.

Actuator: The actuator setting
controls the charging voltage of the
capacitors that energize the
electromagnetic actuators. The range is
0 to 150 volts. The actuators move
the weldments together
during the welding process.

Delay: The delay is 0.5 to 5.0
milliseconds between actuator
initiation and discharge
of weld energy.

Weld: The weld energy voltage
control determines the charging
voltage applied to the
weld capacitors. The range
is 0 to 150 volts.

Mode: There are two mode settings,
regular and heavy-duty.
Heavy Duty adds an additional
bank of capacitors to
the weld output.

Pulse: The long / short pulse
width switch provides the
operator with pulse
width control. A long pulse
delivers less peak energy
for a long time
than a short pulse.

Polarity: Controls the direction of
weld energy electron flow.
The direction of electron flow
affects the amount of
heat applied to each weldment.

Capacitance: This setting controls the
amount of capacitance in the
weld output circuit. There
are three capacitance
ranges labeled 1, 2 and 3.

Operation so simple and intuitive on model 858, we can show you how to use it in less than 60 seconds
